Multi-activity challenges that cover more than steps.

One program, several kinds of healthy activity, and a new theme each week. The employee who will never top a step leaderboard can still place well.

Scoring
Points per task, set at creation

Missing a week costs the week, not the program.

The problem
A single-metric program picks its winners early. Rotate the theme instead and the field resets every week, which is usually the difference between a program that holds and one that fades by month two.
In one line
A multi-activity challenge runs several wellness tasks inside one program instead of tracking a single metric. In Vantage Fit that is the Custom format: multiple weeks, several tasks a week, and up to 27 task types across movement, sleep, nutrition and mind.
What it covers

Four domains, one program.

Configured per company from the Custom format.

Movement

Steps, distance, any logged workout, cycling and swimming.

Physical

Mind

Mindfulness minutes, daily mood, breathing, digital detox.

Mental

Nutrition

Meal logging, water intake, sugar-free and plant-based streaks.

Food and water

Recovery

Sleep duration, wind-down habits, heart-rate logging.

Sleep
Why it holds

A slow starter gets somewhere to begin.

Consistency beats specialism when the score spans domains.

The field resets weekly

Whoever ignored the step week engages with the sleep week.

Scoring spans domains

Sleeping well, logging meals and meditating all count toward the same total.

Teams score on averages

A team is not punished for being smaller or for having a member who travels.

Missing a week is survivable

Tasks are chances to score, not requirements, so nobody drops out of the program.

Approved industry context · sustained participation typically runs 20 to 30 percent. The 88 percent below is a single 28-day program, not a platform average.

For HR and program managers

Build the calendar once.

1

Set the weeks and themes

Choose the length and what each week focuses on, from up to 27 task types.

2

Set the point values

Configure points per task at creation, at zero or in multiples of five.

3

Enrol by rule

Target the audience and matching employees are enrolled at the start.

4

Watch one console

Participation, activity and completion all report at aggregate level.

Program design

What HR wants to know

Multi-activity needs a little more thought than a step race. These are the decisions.

What is a multi-activity wellness challenge?−
A program that asks employees to complete several different healthy tasks rather than competing on one metric. In Vantage Fit it is the Custom format: multiple weeks, several tasks a week, weekly themes, and up to 27 task types spanning physical, mental, nutritional and sleep activity.
How is it different from a step challenge?+
A step challenge ranks one number. This scores across several, so an employee who sleeps well, logs meals and meditates can rank alongside a heavy walker. That widens who can realistically win, which is what tends to sustain participation.
Do employees have to do every task?+
No. Tasks are opportunities to score, not requirements. Missing a week does not remove anyone, and the next theme gives them a fresh entry point.
How many task types are available?+
Up to 27, configured per company. They span physical activity, mindfulness and mood, meals and water, sleep, and manual logs for anything the phone cannot detect.
Can we run it in teams?+
Yes. Team score is the average of member scores, so team size and travel schedules stop deciding the outcome.
How long should it run?+
Published Vantage Fit programs of this shape have run from two weeks to six months. IBS Software ran 28 days with weekly themes. Tata Motors ran a six-month multi-activity pilot.
Does it need wearables?+
No. Steps and sleep sync from the phone, and mood, meals, water and manual workouts are logged in the app. Wearables are optional and only add accuracy.
