# Activity Tracking page brief

## Page job

Prove to a US HR or benefits buyer that Vantage Fit is credible employee activity tracking software: employees can record movement without a wearable, different inputs resolve into one participation record, and the mechanics avoid obvious inflation. This is the base logging surface for the other two Group A pages.

## Research takeaways

- The canonical Android step path is Google Fit or the selected Android source. Health Connect is only named for supported imports.
- The fixed movement conversion is 100 steps to one active minute. Total steps may combine device steps, company-enabled manual steps, and active-minute-derived steps.
- One primary device prevents overlapping step sources. Fitbit or Garmin replaces Apple Health or Google Fit for step totals.
- The surface supports 65 activity types, custom loggable activities, adherence activities, Wheelchair, and the fixed 12-exercise 7-Minute Workout.
- The honest integrity story is a 15-second sync floor and narrow duplicate detection. Step capping exists in code but is disabled, so it is not marketed.
- Lite Mode is steps only. The active-minutes ring, manual steps, overlapping-activity prevention, and Lite Mode setup require VC Support.

## Structure and visual direction

The hero pairs the real activity-logging product shot with workplace movement photography. The memorable device is a compact convergence rail: device sync, manual logs, and camera-based tracking flow into one participation record. It explains the product without inventing dashboard metrics. Coral marks the active path, mint marks confirmed inputs, and all typography, spacing, buttons, nav, and footer remain inside the shared enterprise system.

Page flow: specific hero, three-source convergence, ring and conversion proof, 65-type breadth, integrity and tier boundaries, sibling links, demo CTA.

### Three ways in. One participation record.

Automatic device sync reads Apple Health on iPhone, Google Fit or the selected Android source on Android, plus direct Fitbit and Garmin connections. Health Connect supports selected Android imports, not the live Android step pipeline.

Manual logging covers activities a phone cannot infer. Company-enabled manual steps use a dedicated activity type. Camera-based tracking adds squat pose detection and an awareness-level finger-on-camera heart-rate sample.

Whichever valid path an employee uses, the log lands in the same diary and can count toward the same challenge and participation reporting. HR sees aggregates, not an employee's route or health sample.

### 100 steps. One active minute.

Vantage Fit converts 100 steps into one active minute. Total steps can combine device steps, company-enabled manual steps, and steps derived from active minutes. The move_min challenge task uses the same active-minute mechanic.

The Summary screen keeps the daily read simple with two rings. Steps always occupy the first ring. The second shows active calories or active minutes, configured through VC Support. When no challenge is running, default targets are 10,000 steps and 250 active calories. Employees can open the diary and review seven-day trends on mobile; mindful-minute and sleep graphs are Full Mode only. The WHO 150-minute weekly recommendation is context for active minutes, not a certification.

### 65 activity types, without a 65-row form.

Cardio, sports, strength, mind and body, health logging, nutrition, custom activities, and other movement share one logging pattern. HR can add a branded loggable activity such as Office Yoga or an adherence activity such as Avoid Sugar. Wheelchair is a dedicated GPS-trackable activity type. The app also includes Vantage Fit's fixed 12-exercise 7-Minute Workout.

### Measured, not inflated.

Step sync has a 15-second minimum to control repeated requests. Duplicate detection looks for a narrow prior-day pattern associated with specific older iOS builds. One primary device keeps Fitbit or Garmin steps from being added on top of Apple Health or Google Fit. Vantage Fit does not market step capping as active because it is currently disabled.

### Know what changes by tier.

Full Mode includes the complete logging surface. Lite Mode reduces the employee experience to steps only. Custom activities and activity reports are self-serve for admins. Manual step entry, the active-minutes ring, overlapping-activity prevention, and Lite Mode enablement require VC Support.

## Critic result

**Pass.** Removed an early customer-stat band because both assigned case-study numbers require currency verification and are not needed to prove the mechanic. Kept Health Connect away from Android steps, described camera heart rate as awareness-level, stated that capping is disabled, and made tier and VC Support boundaries visible rather than burying them.
