Built for participation

Give every employee a way to score.

Step-only races leave people out. Multi-activity programs keep variety high and excuses low.

01

Include non-runners

Pair steps with water, mindfulness, content, and desk-friendly tasks so high steppers are not the only people on the leaderboard.

02

Weekly themes

Move, Nourish, Rest, Thrive — each week gets its own name, color, and task mix without relaunching the whole program.

03

Balanced scoring

Set points per task so one activity does not dominate. Employees can open a score breakdown by task and week.

04

Company-specific habits

Create “Walking Meeting” or “Avoided Sugar” as loggable or adherence activities, then assign them as challenge tasks.

05

Teams when you want them

Optional teams average individual scores so every member’s contribution matters — not only the top steppers.

06

Templates to launch faster

Start from a pre-built multi-week template with recommended tasks and targets, then tune branding and difficulty.

For HR & program managers

Design the program in the dashboard wizard.

Custom Challenge is self-serve — multi-week themes, mixed tasks, and scoring without a six-month build.

  1. 1
    Create

Select Custom Challenge. Set name, dates, image, and public or private visibility.

  2. 2
    Theme weeks

Name each week and set a theme logo and color so the program feels curated in the app.

  3. 3
    Add tasks

Pick task types, targets, daily or weekly mode, and points. Drag to reorder within a week.

  4. 4
    Score fairly

Balance point values. Non-step tasks stop earning past 100% of target; steps use a daily cap (default 25,000).

  5. 5
    Audience, teams, certificates

Filter by department, country, city, and more. Optional teams and branded certificates at the finish.

  6. 6
    Publish & run

Invite, send mid-challenge notifications, and watch multi-task leaderboards and enrollment health.

What leadership can see: enrollment health, challenge standings with score breakdown, points activity, and redemptions — population-level program health, not private clinical surveillance. Global teams get time-zone localized challenge windows.

Questions HR asks first

Straight answers before the demo.

How is this different from a step challenge?
Step challenges (Race, Streak, Journey, E-Marathon) center on steps or step-derived distance. Multi-activity uses the Custom Challenge format: multiple task types per week, weekly themes, and balanced multi-task scoring in one program.
Will desk workers and non-runners participate?
That is the design intent. Pair auto-tracked steps with water, mindfulness, content, adherence check-ins, and custom activities so people who are not high steppers can still complete tasks and earn points.
Is multi-activity available on every plan?
Full Mode includes all 27 task types. Lite Mode is Step Count only. Your account manager can confirm your mode and the upgrade path for multi-activity programs.
How does scoring work across different tasks?
Each task has its own point value. Employees earn toward the task target — non-step tasks do not pay extra past 100% of target; steps use a daily cap (default 25,000, adjustable with your account team). Total score sums points across tasks and weeks. Employees can view a score breakdown per task and week from the leaderboard.
Can we invent company-specific tasks?
Yes. Create custom loggable activities or adherence habits under Configuration → Activities, then add them as tasks in a Custom Challenge — for example Office Yoga, Walking Meetings, or Took Vitamins.
Do we have to build from scratch?
No. Use pre-built challenge templates with recommended tasks, targets, and weekly structure. Adjust dates, audience, branding, and difficulty before you publish.
